Mila Kunis talked to “Extra” at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, you can watch two interviews with her below!
Despite the fact that the stars of Sam Raimi’s buzz-worthy upcoming movie “Oz: The Great and Powerful” aren’t allowed to offer up any specifics about their involvement in the film, we’ve managed to glean a few positive yet mysterious comments here and there.
Such was the case during a recent run-in with the lovely and talented Mila Kunis at CinemaCon, where we learned a little more about her character’s motivations, as well as some teasers about a short-film project Kunis made with her co-star James Franco that she promised will be better than their Funny or Die parody of “The Hills.”
“Sam Raimi [directed the movie]. What else do you need?” Kunis said when asked what else fans should know about the return to Oz. “[Also] James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz,” she added. “That’s all you need.”
And what about her character, Theodora? Is she good and then evil? A nice blend? Who is she?
“She’s a good person who gets her heart broken,” Kunis said. “What happens to young ladies when their heart gets broken?”
Josh Horowitz answered that they turn into horrible evil witches. “You said it, not me,” Kunis said with a smile.
We then brought up her re-teaming with Franco and asked whether they had any downtime during “Oz” to shoot another brilliant short film, à la their “Hills” parody.
“In the process, James and I had another collaboration that may or may not ever see the light of day. That was one of the many shorts that James shoots. That might go down in history as my favorite,” Kunis revealed. “I will not talk about it until it is shown, because that it beat ‘The Hills.’ It’s a whole other short that we shot. It was one of the more fun experiences one could ever have.”
Although Kunis claimed she could not reveal any more details, we asked her to at least tell us what genre the short falls into and offered up horror as a possible category.
“Horror? Horror,” Kunis answered. “It wasn’t dirty,” Kunis added. “In case you’re going in that direction.”

After filmmakers Andy and Lana Wachowski tackle the ambitious task of turning “Cloud Atlas” — a hulking novel taking place in six separate time periods from the 19th century to a post-apocalyptic, virtually-technology free future — into a feature film, the siblings will direct “Jupiter Ascending.” While all involved are tight-lipped on the sci-fi flick’s plot, we learned back in March that Warner Bros., the studio behind the project, offered lead roles to Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis.
On Tuesday evening (April 24) at CinemaCon, Kunis herself confirmed that she’ll star in the film, exclusively giving MTV News’ Josh Horowitz the scoop. Before he could even finish his question regarding whether the rumors are true and whether she’s read a script, Kunis nodded her head and blurted out, “Yes.”
“I love them!” she said about the Wachowskis.
When Horowitz joked, “Thanks for spilling all the beans on that one,” Kunis laughed and responded, “Listen, I told you I’m doing it. That’s the most I’ve told anybody.”
When Deadline Hollywood first broke the news of the film, they described it as the Wachowskis’ “first major science fiction action franchise play since ‘The Matrix,’ ” which hopefully means audiences will be treated to a series of movies.
While 2012 seems to be the year of Channing Tatum, with hits like “The Vow,” “21 Jump Street” and the upcoming summer films “Magic Mike” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” Kunis also has a full cinematic plate. She stars in the raunchy comedy “Ted” and the “Wizard of Oz” prequel “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” which stars James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz.
“Jupiter Ascending” is set to hit theaters in 2014.

Mila Kunis arrived in Greenville to attend the Marine Corps Ball Friday afternoon just before 2:30.
Nine On Your Side caught up with Kunis as she arrived at the Hilton ahead of tonight’s miltary gala.
A Camp Lejeune Marine invited the actress to the ball in a YouTube video back in July and she said yes.
“Hey Mila. It’s Sgt. Moore. But you can call me Scott. I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18th in Greenville, North Carolina with yours truly,” said Moore in his YouTube invitation.
While it initially looked like a scheduling conflict would prevent the actress from attending, those fears were later laid to rest.
Kunis’ publicist told Nine On Your Side a week ago that she would keep her word and attend the ball with Moore.
So Sergeant Moore’s dream date is still on for later tonight.
